1 month left

I'm sorry if there're people who visit my this blog that I seldome have entries.

I'm really enjoying my school life in MSSU. Since I came here on last August, severn months have passed. Time flies...
A few days ago, I finally booked the flight to Japan. I'll leave Joplin, the city I live in, on May 15th. Then, I'll stay at Kansas City, and next day, May 16th, I'll leave Kansas City to Dallas, then I finally, sadly, leave the U.S. to Japan.
I use American Airline, and the line between Dallas and Kansai Int'l Airport was canceled on last October. So I firstly have to go to Narita Int'l Airport. Then in my plan, I was about to back to Itami Airport from Narita, but when I booked the flight, it was late... it was full... So I have to move to Haneda from Narita, and then go to Itami Airport. Sorry if you are unfamiliar with airports in Japan. :-(
I'm afraid it's a hard flight schedule, but it's the only way... NO WAY!!!
When I booked the flight, I was so sad because even though I know I have to go back to Japan, it seemed like dream. But the booking pulled me back to the reality.

These days, I spend more time in Green Room, the room for actors during the show and also the room theatre students have fun, than last semester. I'm chiken, so I still have some difficulties to talk with them, but comparewing with the first days I came here, it's changed. One day, in conversation, there's a topic about the new production featured China in next semester. One of my friend asked me, "Are you gonna take an audition for it?" I answered, "No, I can't. I'll be back to Japan after the final. I'm a one-year exchange student." Then he was surprised, because he didn't know it. Same as him, there are some students, or most of them in Southern Players, don't know that I leave soon. They, include professors, say, "What!? Why? Rule? Then, after you backed to Japan, you should stop out the school and come back here!" One of my professor who had two classes I took last semester said to me, "It's too sad that we don't have you next semester. You should stay here, so I'll call to your university." Of course, it's a joke to call to my univ, but these words made me so sad!!!!!!! To tell the truth, I couldn't break the ice between me and theatre guys. At first, I couldn't understand what they are saying when I came here. Even now, I can't understand all, but it's much better. So I thought even though I'm majoring theatre, I'm not in the community. But now I knew that it's not, I'm in the community. Of course, I don't hang out with them, and after classes, I go to the library directly everyday, but I'm recognized as a member of Southern Theatre. If I have one more year, I can be more friendly with them, I can help and (may be able to) play the production. It's very sad to say good bye to them, but they provided great stages, and above all, they showed me what I really want to do. If I didn't come here, I would do job hunting now, and work at the company that I'm not interested in. Now, I'm planning to study abroad again after my graduation. Of course, there's a problem of money, but I'll earn money as much as I can. I don't know to come back here, Missouri Southern, but it's true to major Theatre again.

Today, it's March 31st, Suturday. From Monday, I'll have classes again and it's April 2nd. The last day of class is May 2nd. There's only one month! After that, I'll have final exams and packing. I'll do my best to have a great month ever, and have a great memory with Theatre guys.

What should I do!?!?

It's Tuesday. The classes were canceled today, too. It's the second day, and I had 4 holidays. It makes me happy not to have any classes for 2 days, but I have nothing to do but watching movies, being on the net, and having the meal. I have an assignment for my English class, but I can't do it in my room! I need to gather 10 sources to support the theme I chose, and then I have to provide those bibliography with the summary. The classes are canceled and all campus are closed because of the ice, so the library is also closed and I don't have any way to do my homework. What should I do!? The due date is next Friday! Should I read 10 books in only 1 week!? It's ridiculous! I might be able to do it, but... I have more things to do!

I went to Wal Mart with my roommate, then when we backed to our dorm, we found the note on the fromt door that says...

YAHOO!
There's no class on Wednesday, Jan. 17th!

WHAT???????? My roommate says, "It upsets me...", because she really wants to go to school. Then I realised that I have an audition tomorrow... On last Friday, I signed up for the sheet to take an audition, then on that night, I got a call that the audition schedule was changed, so I have to sign up again on the same day but in different time. She said, "Please fill up the sheet next week." Then, the Monday was closed, and Tuesday also. The day of audition is Wednesday, and it's tomorrow! The campus will have been closed tomorrow, and, before that, I don't sign up for the audition!!!!!!!!! I hope she will call me again about it. I don't have any numbers to call about it. I didn't expected that tomorrow will also be no class. It's my first time to have such a long class cancelation, becuase I've never had such a lot of snow in Japan. Today I knew what cancel classes. It's ICE. NOT SNOW. The sidewalks and parking areas in campus are all covered with thick ice. The biggest parking area is like an ice skating rink. I don't know how thick it is, but the ice on the car has about 3 inches, 9cm. Everyone who has a car were breaking ice on the car with the bar. My friend said, "The classes will be canceled in this whole week." OH! I wanted to have holidays later!!!! IT HAS ONLY ONE WEEK PASSED SINCE CLASSES BEGAN!!!!!

snow...again...

I really enjoyed my winter vacation in San Jose, San Francisco, Disney Land, and L.A. with my Japanese friends for about 3 weeks. There were some troubles, but everything went well. Everything was great! In San Jose, we had Korean food for dinner, so my poor Korean worked even though I used English in most of the part. (haha:)) And it moved me very much to visit the place I have lived from 0 to 2 years old. Of course, I don't remember the days I spent in the U.S., but I was very glad to visit there.
San Francisco was very beautiful city. One of my dream, to take a cable car, came true! On the way to Fisherman's Wharf from down town, I took it and it was a little bit cold, but the sky was blue and the scene was beautiful, so I really enjoyed it. The tour of Alcatraz Island was very interesting. It made me scary to think if I were here for many years...(I swear I never do such a stupid thing!!!!!)
Disney Land was, of course, fun! I spend 4 days there. My friends said it's enough to stay there for 2 days, but we three, crazy Japanese girls, planned to stay there for 4 days. I think our dicision was correct. If we had only 2 days, it's too short to enjoy everything. We rode almost all of attractions, and were moved to the fantastic shows!
The last place, L.A. was also interesting. The down town was not interesting, but I went to Hollywood and Universal Studio. At Hollywood, I had a tour of Kodak Theatre where the Academy Award is held every year. I just thought it's just the tour to see the lobby and the stage. BUT!!!!!!! It was different!!! I saw the lobby and was led to the backstage!!!!!!!! Can you believe that? I went to the backstage of Kodak Theatre!!! And I was led to the stage!!! OH MY GOD!!!! I was very exciting, 'cause I didn't expecting that I could stand on the stage! Then, I sat on the chair which Al Pacino sat in last Academy Awards. I don't know who will sit on there this year. I have to check it out!

This was my winter vacation. And now, it's January 14th, and one week have past since the spring semester began. The classes I take are harder than the ones I took in the last semester, but I wanna do my best. Then, it has past only 1 week, but the ice storm came to Missouri again, so the classes are canceled for tomorrow, Monday. I'm happy not to have any calss, but it's boring to spend all day in my room. lol I will have an audition for children's play on Wednesday, so I have to memorise the monologue for that. I had new roommate from this semester and she said she can help me in my practice. She is really a good girl.

I always think that I have to post more, but my this blog, BLOGGER, provided very slow speed for everything, so I didn't post so much in purpose, but I updated this today, so it works so fast! I hope I will post more. haha!

Christmas Holiday

The final was over, and the grade is coming up.
I took 6 classes in fall semester, and listen! I got "A" for all classes!!!!!
I can't believe it! I'm very hapy to see my grade, because it's up to the grade whether I can stay one more semester or not. I can! I can study here for more one semester!!!!!!
Next semster, I wanna spend more time with theatre students, and I'll try the audition for the play and get the role! I WILL!!!!!!

The final was over, so the international students are getting back to their home. Most of them stay here for only one semester, so it's the time to be back.
These days, I say good bye to friends, and it makes me too sad! Today, I said good bue to Swedish, italian, and Chilian friends, and the tear ran... I couldn't stop crying... it's too sad...
The 4 months we spent was seemed to be long but actually was short. I believe we can meet someday in somewhere. But..., u know, it's really sad to say good bye. If it's in Japan, we can meet each other even though we live far from each other, but in this case, the world is the stage. We spend days in different countries. It's harder to meet with.
But I think this sadness means we had a great time. If we didn't spend days together so much, I wouldn't be so sad. The 4 months we spent together is my precious time and it'll be irreplacable memory in m life.

From tomorrow, I'll visit San Jose, San Francisco, Anaheim(Disney Land) and L.A. with my crazy Japanese friends. I'll keep up blogging if I can.

See you!!
Have a good Chiristmas!!!
Love, ya!

Final started

I know I don't post frequently. I want, but this blog, actually Blogger, sometimes works bad, and it makes me not to post. I guess my last post is before thanks giving. NY was great and fantastic! I believe that the city changed me into good way. I liked the theatre better, and it's very curious but after I backed to Joplin, I never over slept!!!!!! It's an amazing thing, isn't it?

From today, the final exam started. I have 4 exams in this week, but they are not so difficult I guess, or I hope, because they're matching test! In Japan, I had more difficult exam, for example the psychology. That was terrible! Even though I could answer in Japanese, it was horrible! And the test of Linguistics. That was also terrible. Basically, the test that demands to write an essay or answer by explaining something is difficult. So, compare with them, matching test is easier even if I have to answer in English.
I had one, Chinese, in this morning. I did it in about 40 minutes. To answer the difinition of the word in English and translate English into Chinese weren't hard, but the most difficult one was translate Chinese into English. At first, it was long! There were about 4 paragraphs. And, the sentences themselves were not so difficult, but in my case, also in my Japanese friend's case, I have to translate Chinese into Japanese, and then translate Japanese into English. Oh, complicated!!! My Chinese professor teached Japanese, so when I really really didn't answer in English, I planned to answer in Japanese. However, I did somehow. I have more 3 test on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. And on Friday night, I have a party!!!!!! Yeah!!! Beer!!!!:)

I'm going to New York!

It's 2:42 in the morning. I used to be awake in such a late night because of doing homework or being on the net... Anyway, today I'm awake to go to NY! Yes! It's Thanks Giving Holiday! From Wednesday to Sunday, my university doesn't have any class, and I planned to go to New York with my friends who are also from Japan. I was very looking forward to coming this day. I'll stay at the hostel near to the Times Square, and watch the Broadway Musical "RENT", take a tour of the United Nationation, go to the Statue of Liberty, and eat delicious food at China town or so... I'll leave the town I'm living in at 6 a.m. and arrive at NY at 6 p.m.. I'm going to stay up all night with my friend with chatting. OH! NY is coming!!!!

Have a good Thanks Giving!

*about one month ago, my favorite actor, Ewan McGregor was filming the new movie in New York, and one of the place he was is Bryant Park which locates very near to the hostel I'll stay!

I saw the most known person by everyone in the world

This year is strange...weird... I saw some famous people. One of them is Ichiro who is a baseball player of Seatle Mariners. I got excited when I saw him, and you can know it from my previous post. But, this time is very different! Of course, Ichiro is very famous, but it has an aspect that his popularity is only accepted among the team, Mariners, fan and the Japanese. Today, I saw the most popular person in the world. His name is George W. Bush. Yes! The president of the United States! Can you belive it!? He came to my university for the address.

I knew that he was coming to the university on Monday. The professor of my walking calss said, "Do you know the people wearing black clothes who are around the campus? They are Secret Service. The president of the U.S. is coming here on Friday." When I heard that, I though, "What are you talking about?" and I believed I misunderstood. But on that night, I heard it was true from my friends. On Wednesday, one of my friend got tickets! Thank you very much!! I heard it was difficult to get tickets, and there are about 1,500 seats, but they give about 6,000 ticktes! My friend informed me that the door will be open at 9 a.m. and be sure to be there until 11:30, and it'll take much time for security check and the seats will gone soon, so come there on 9:00. The address is from 12:00. I have 2 classes from 9 and 10. I got confused. Should I attend classes? But if I did, can I enter the gym that will be the hall for it. At first, I decided to skip a class from 10, but other students who are gonna see Bush say they'll skip all classes in the morning. The class from 9 is theatre class... I didn't wanna skip it! And I compared them, theatre class and Bush. Finally, I got to skip the class... I'm sorry doctors and my parents...

Today, I went to the gym with my friend at 9 a.m.. There were many people who got ticket and those who are the Republican and came there just for curiousty like me. Surely the security chack took time, but it was not seriouser than I expected. I had a plenty of time until he appeared. Oh... I could came there after the class... damn it! Until he appeared, the man lead people to say something like, "Welcome to Missouri, George W. Bush!" People around me were shouting it, but I didn't. When the time was coming, the man came to the stage and announced that the president showed up. At that moment, people, they are all on his side, stood up and started to wave flags and signs. You know, they are taller than me, so at that time I was tired and wanted to sit down, but I had to stand up to se him. And finally he appeared! At first, I didn't notice which was him, because he didn't dress up and he was far from my place and all men look same. But after a few seconds, I realized and got excited with my friends! "Bush! Bush! Bush!" This is the only word we said at first. Then, do you know what we said next? We said... "Hey, he is smaller than the image, and he seems to be fat around the middle..." hahaha! Of course we talked with in Japanese, no one knows, but if someone knows, what did it happen? Anyway, for a few minutes, people's cheer, clapping and shouting, "Welcome to Missouri, George W. Bush!", didn't stop. His speech was last about 40 minutes or so, I guess. I'm not sure, because I was tired and sleepy. I understood what he said about 70 or 80%, and the reason why I couldn't understand the rest of 20 or 30% is because of my English problems and his south accents. He pronounces 'Missouri' as 'Missoura'. (Hey! Here is Misouri!) At first, he talked about the U.S. economy, and then, I don't know how did he bring this topic but he started to talk about Iraq, terrorism, and the war. I found that I don't like him. Before I listened to the speech, I didn't like him, but I knew I DO NOT LIKE HIM. He said like "We have the finest enemy in the world.", "Our goal is to defeat our enemy". (no~~~~~!) At last, he was talking about the North Korea, and he showed the word, Japan or Japanese sometimes. He doesn't know that there are Japanese there. My friends from Sweden who were sitting near to me looked at me when he said "Japan", and they said," hey, you should wave your hand and shout 'I'm Japanese!'". Of course, I didn't.

I was really tired when the speech was over. We, Japanese girls, had lunch and I attended the class with one of them.

I saw the most famous person, but I wasn't moved so much, and I think that's because I don't like him. Anyway, it was a long day.

Oh! Around 3 p.m., I heard loud noise in my room, and I looked the outside from the window, then it was the Air Force One.
